Urine must be refrigerated during collection

 

Transport Information: 

Have the patient empty his/her bladder; then collect all urine samples for the required hours. Encourage fluids during this entire time. The entire urine collection must be sent to the Laboratory.

 

Minimum Sample Volume: 

Collect all of the urine voided from the patient during the required time. Store refrigerated during collection.
