Preferred Collection Container: 

Red (No Additive)
SST (Serum Separator)

Collection Information: 

Collect 1.0 mL of blood. Transfer 0.5 mL of serum to a transport vial.

Minimum Sample Volume: 

0.25 mL

Remarks: 

Plasma samples from green and lavender top tubes are acceptable, but will route to a PROBL spot in the Sunquest Laboratory Information System.

Unacceptable Conditions: 

Grossly hemolyzed or lipemic specimens.
