Specimen Requirements
Collection Container/Tube: Li heparin or Serum from SST or Red
Submission Container/Tube: Plastic screw-top aliquot tube
Specimen Volume: 0.5 mL
Only the specimens listed below were tested in a sufficient number and found acceptable:
Li-heparin plasma collected using standard sampling tubes or tubes containing separating gel.
Red top or SST serum.
Stable for 24 hours at 15-25 °C, 48 hours at 2-8 °C, 3 months at -20 ± 5 °C.
