Specimen Requirements

Specimen must arrive within 30 minutes of collection.  Laboratory does not perform testing on weekends.

Container/Tube: Semen Analysis Kit (Supply T178)

Specimen Volume: Total ejaculate

Specimen Requirements:

          1. Specimen should be collected by masturbation into a sterile container. 

          2. Specimen shoud be brought to the laboratory within 30 minutes of collection. 

          3. The ideal period of time for collection of a semen sample is after 2-7 days of no sexual                           activity (including masturbation).

          4. Examine the specimen within 2 hours.
