Specimen Requirements
Remarks: CSF should be free from contamination with blood. Hemolysis is associated with falsely-elevated levels of MBP.
Transport 1 mL CSF. (Min: 0.3 mL) Avoid hemolysis. If CSF is bloody, centrifuge the sample and separate supernatant from cells prior to freezing the sample.

Refrigerated: 2 weeks
