Collection Information:
Collect cervical and endocervical sample using the SurePath Autocyte specimen transport media , OR collect cervical and endocervical sample using "ThinPrep® Pap Test PreservCyt" specimen transport media.
Transport Information:
Transport SurePath and ThinPrep specimens ambient or refrigerated.
Remarks:
If the HPV test is positive, a pap smear will automatically be ordered and performed
Unacceptable Conditions:
Anal specimens, samples in EIA transport media, Gen-Probe®, LCx® STD, bacterial or viral transport media or wooden swabs.
