Collection Information: 

Collect blood in a Light Green (Lithium Heparin Plasma Separator Tube) or SST (Serum Separator).
Add-on Requests - Requires additional evaluation for acceptability.

 

Transport Information: 

Centrifuge and aliquot 1.0 mL of serum into a plastic transport vial. Send refrigerated.

 

Minimum Sample Volume: 

0.3 mL of serum or plasma (approximately 0.6 mL whole blood based upon a normal patient hematocrit)
