Interpretive Data
This assay should not be used to assess therapeutic success or failure for persons treated with the CDC recommended or alternative regimens, since nucleic acids from these organisms may persist for 3 weeks or more following antimicrobial therapy. If a test-of-cure is requested, a Chlamydia culture (EPIC LAB 2166), should be requested. This test is appropriate for retesting at three months or longer post antimicrobial therapy.
