Sterile Transport Swab

Collection Information: 

Collect a throat swab using a Copan ESwab or approved sterile transport swab. Also acceptable are rectal samples from Pediatric patients only.

Transport Information: 

Aseptic technique must be used in obtaining, and transport of specimen.

Remarks: 

Identification and susceptibility tests are billed separately from culture.
