Specimen Requirements

Patient must be wearing an identification bracelet. All specimens must be completely labeled in accordance with AABB requirements. Refer to "Blood Bank Specimens" under the Resource section.

Specimen Type: Whole Blood

Container/Tube: Lavender or Pink Top EDTA

Specimen Volume: 6mL Adults

                                  4mL pediatric

                                  Microtainer neonate

Collection Instructions:

1. Invert several times to mix.
